We tried the EC Caster/Melee setup with discord heroes and 2 healers and an Orders (MOXY ). Got killed easily in Gloom. Any tips?

You'd have to post all the builds. If you're using lots of phys classes, you might need more hex removal. Assuming you're talkin about the cave, we usually have abit of minions with us at that part. We let the first wave come to us, then start moving up with the minions as they get aggro. It's one of the harder parts of DoA but once you get the right setup you can almost always get it done without a wipe.

In DoA Order of Pain is really necessary? Since the only one to take advantage of it is the paragon, others are caster and the scythe do holy damage

Yeah it was pretty wasteful. The only useful thing it was doing was removing hexes. It's been a while since we've done a full run with only two players so I haven't really decided on what build to use for the last slot in a 2-person team. We actually haven't been using an Orders in any of our setups lately so I might just remove all the Orders builds.

For a heroway team, I try to make sure we always have Splinter Weapon and conditions for Discord. Normally I had Splinter on one of the Discord heroes while making the last hero in a 2-person team bring the conditions. I was thinking of dropping the Restoration points from one of the Discord necs and spec into Curses for conditions. Another Discord could bring Splinter, then the last hero wouldn't have to worry about bringing either of those. Depending on who has what, we often end up switching a few minor skills on the Discord heroes.

An EC caster makes a good replacement for the Orders. It stops hexes with daze and does damage though GDW along with helping out with Discord so the necs don't have to go out of their way to bring conditions. So far, my favorite 3-person team is a Scythe war, Imbagon, EC nec, then 3 Discords, WoH monk, and an N/Mo Divert. That's what we used to get our fastest time.

I've actually been wanting to try an N/Mo with Healer's Boon - it can be kept up at 0 Divine Favor, and you get +220hp heals from Jamei's Gaze/Heal Other. I've only tried it with cons up so I haven't got the chance to see it without. I don't really wanna update any of the builds till Guru gets their crap fixed.

Btw I saw you lookin for a group about an hour ago (noticed your IGN). Was gonna start a team with my friend and ask if you wanted to join, but I ended up joining some random pug instead just for the hell of it.......gettin City done in 1:20 is no fun

The people at [EYE] showed me how to do the door trick, so I might end up adding another different team build for Mallyx along with details on how to do it. If you do it right and fight Mallyx outside his room, the N/Rt with Consume Soul becomes useless and the healing Rits probably won't be needed.

What is this "door trick" you speak of? Sorry and yes, I am new to DoA and am interested in making a visit to it later on...

The quest where you actually fight Mallyx involves you defending one of those snake guys from waves of enemies from the other 4 areas. Once you get to the last wave, let one of the Titans live. Once he's the last one alive, have someone stand next to Mallyx's door. As soon as the Titan is dead, have that person rush in really quick and make sure everyone skips the cutscene as fast as they can. If your team was quick, you can run right back outside once you enter the door.

Normally, you're supposed to fight him inside his room with the door shut so you can't run out. His room has 4 spirits with really bad effects along with some occasional spawns. It's just tons easier to pull him outside of his room using the door trick.

These builds are pretty nice and I have been doing it with just two people. Haven't been running the exact builds posted but something pretty close. I might post some of them if they are working.

Would be interested to try this sometime. Most likely on a weekend. I also have a friend who could be an ec mesmer (obviously not as much energy as necro or splinter weapon from rit but guess a build could be made). I also have an imbagon and we both have maxed lber and high pve ranks.

Did a full run last night. Haven't done one in about 2 weeks before that. Been losing abit of interest in GW so haven't been doing them as much as I used to =/

Might do another full run soon though....you two can come if you're on whenever we decide to do one.

Nice builds... the lady friend and I will have to give these a try with 6 heroes and see what we can do.

If you're still doing these, look me up. I've got a Sin that can run Scythe or Blossom or I've got an Imbagon if we're short one.
